Last weekend, the Best Friends Animal Society welcomed the crowd off the streets of Manhattan to its Pop-Up adoption center.
The Best Friends Animal Society is an organization dedicated to rescuing animals. It also provides a safe environment for them until they are brought to a new home. It is the largest animal charity dedicated to “no-kill” practices.
Best Friends takes in animals from Animal Care Centers of New York City (NCC). NCC has over 30,000 animals per year coming into its care. Best Friends provides a temporary home for many of those animals. It makes the connection to adoptive families through this Pop Up Event.
Elizabeth Jensen, Executive Director of Best Friends, described the pop-up event as “an opportunity for educating and engaging with the community.”<Greenwich Free Press>
